The Big Room Studio - Price Guides

All original projects are quoted for individually, but take a look below for a bit of a guide.

How much will your project cost?

The Blue Dot Big Room Studio features a large, comfortable, air conditioned live room, a vocal booth and an isolated control room. Included in the cost are various instruments and amps including a grand piano and drum kit, a 32 channel analogue console and a huge microphone collection. Everything you need to capture the live feel of your band in a top quality, radio ready recording.

Recording at Blue Dot gives you access to industry-standard equipment at independent prices. Having worked in the recording industry for over 10 years, Olli’s equipment list is extensive - and everything from the mic stands to the mastering software has been carefully researched and chosen by hand.

12 Track Album

The main factor in determining cost is time. Naturally, projects that take longer to record will usually also take longer to produce, mix and master. Consider:

  • How long is each track?
  • How many tracks are there?
  • How many instruments / vocal parts need to be recorded for each one?
  • Does each track require overdubs / digital instrumentation / a backing track?
  • Do you want any special audio effects?

As you can tell, the variable lengths, number and complexity of the tracks being recorded means that, individual projects inevitably vary considerably in cost (hence the wide price ranges).
